We are hiring a Sales Manager – Container Liner & Shipping Agency for a leading shipping company. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales and commercial operations for container liner and shipping agency business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with BCOs, intermediaries, shippers, consignees, and global freight forwarders
  • Drive business development initiatives and identify new market opportunities within shipping and logistics sectors
  • Coordinate with operations, trade, and customer service teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and client satisfaction
  • Prepare commercial strategies, pricing plans, and market intelligence reports to support business growth
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to strengthen market positioning
  • Negotiate contracts, commercial agreements, and service terms with customers and business partners
  • Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to optimize sales performance and operational efficiency
  • Lead and mentor sales teams while ensuring achievement of revenue and business targets

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial operations within container liner or shipping agency industry
  • Strong customer network with BCOs, shippers, consignees, intermediaries, and freight forwarders
  • Postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Good understanding of ERP tools and sales performance systems
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Strong market intelligence and commercial strategy capabilities
  • Proven experience in shipping sales, customer acquisition, and business development
  • Ability to manage high-value customer relationships and commercial negotiations effectively
