Capt. Gaurav Rana
CEO, FounderCapt. Gaurav is a seasoned maritime
professional with 25+ years of experience across active sailing, ports and logistics
consulting, digital consulting and implementation and being an entrepreneur himself.
He
sailed for 13 years including 2 years as master on general cargo, bulk and oil tankers and
has been ashore for 12+ years. He transitioned ashore in 2010 and worked as Technical
Director in British Maritime Technology Consultants India for 4 years before going for
higher studies from IIM-Ahmedabad. He then worked with IBM in Sr. Management role managing
IT related projects in the Ports, Logistics and Maritime Sector.
He started Sea and
Beyond in 2015 with a Vision to help persons in the shipping and logistics fraternity take a
well-informed professional decision and has continued with the same thought progress to add
various services and value to Sea & Beyond. He has mentored many professionals and is
passionate to give back to the broader maritime fraternity.
He is originally from
Himachal Pradesh, an avid sports enthusiast and stays with his family in Mumbai.
Pinaki Dasgupta
Director - RecruitmentPinaki, a marine engineer graduate from Tolani Maritime Institute, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. With over a decade of professional journey, he began his career at sea, navigating container and bulk vessels for 5 years, ascending to the rank of 3rd Engineer Officer. Transitioning ashore, he pursued his MBA at PUMBA, setting the course for his commercial endeavors.
Joining the ranks of global leader Honeywell, he spent 7 years shaping the landscape of sales and business development. Driven by a passion for the maritime industry, he returned to his roots, serving as the Country Head for India and Subcontinent at Drew Marine India and later with Drew Marine Singapore. Has been successful in establishing business in new markets and was a champion for increase in revenue in the companies he has served. Born and raised in Mumbai, Pinaki stays with his family in Mumbai and takes great pleasure in traveling.
Manish Goyal
Digital Creative HeadManish brings over 20 years of rich experience in design, motion graphics, and visual effects, with a proven track record of transforming ideas into compelling visual narratives. Known for his strategic creativity and execution excellence, he has led high-impact design initiatives across leading broadcast platforms.
He has previously served as the Head of Design for prominent television networks including Colors TV, Cineplex, Rishtey, and MTV. Throughout his career, Manish has collaborated with renowned brands such as Star Plus, Sony Entertainment Television, and National Geographic Channel, delivering visually impactful and brand-aligned creative solutions.
At Sea and Beyond, Manish leads the digital and creative vision, driving brand storytelling, visual identity, and multimedia engagement strategies that strengthen the company's market presence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Manish is a passionate sports enthusiast with a background in boxing, having earned multiple medals. A multifaceted artist, he is also an accomplished guitarist and painter, reflecting his creativity across diverse artistic disciplines.
Vinay Naidu
Advisor - Board, Executive Management and Strategic FinanceVinay is a seasoned finance professional with about 40 years of experience in the maritime and shipping industry, he has held senior leadership roles with renowned multinational organizations with most recently as Group Chief Financial Officer.
He has led multi-regional and multi-cultural teams across Africa, Europe, Asia, MEA, SEA and Oceania, having extensive exposure to international markets. He has strong expertise in technology-driven systems and digital transformation, supported by several qualifications in finance and information technology and has played a key role as a technology enabler and ERP integrator.
With extensive cross-functional leadership experience, he brings a balanced perspective on corporate governance, business transformation and organizational effectiveness with advisory support to the board and executive management.
He is also a Lead Auditor for Quality Management Systems, an Occupational Psychometric Analyst, a young adult career counsellor and an active derivatives trader, bringing diverse experience in finance, governance, technology, mentoring and capital markets to his leadership role.
He has mentored several young adults, enabling them to build successful careers through structured guidance and well-planned professional roadmaps.
Being born and brought up in Mumbai, one of the key maritime hubs, he has closely witnessed the changing landscape of the city and the parallel growth of the maritime industry, giving him deep understanding of the sector.
Miss. Riya Shetty
Talent Acquisition ManagerPassionate HR professional with 8+ years of work experience in Shipping industry including end to end sourcing, operations, administration and induction process for all new hires. She ensured that all new recruits comply with all maritime regulations etc. She also has expertise in hiring for all maritime personnel from ratings to Senior Mariners. She also has good network with persons in India, Saudi, UAE, Qatar, W. Africa, China, Singapore, Brazil, Mexico and other European regions.
At Sea and Beyond she leads the recruitment division with focus on the core maritime personnel.
Miss. Shruti Arora
