On shore he has held key roles at esteemed companies such as the Scorpio Group and Afchem India distributions Ltd.  His expertise extends to directing a Singapore-based Shipping and Trade Company, overseeing the chartering of 50+ ships annually and engaged in Oil and Polymer trading. Notably, he has secured multimillion-dollar contracts and excels in establishing thriving business verticals from inception. Currently he is working with Smartship Hub. throughout his career transitioning from maritime roles to onshore responsibilities, he has adeptly leveraged Excel and Power BI to streamline his work processes and derive invaluable insights. His proficiency with these tools has significantly contributed to optimizing operational efficiencies and decision-making in the shipping and logistics domain.




Tiju Chandy
Marine Chief Engineer and Maritime Digitalisation Consultant,

He is sailing  as Marine Chief Engineer, with 20+ years of sailing experience in several types of vessels (Gas (LNG, LPG), Bulk, Cargo, Car Carrier etc.) 

Accomplished Software Professional, with hands-on experience in providing technical solutions and solving complex business problems.

Chief Engineer (Marine): 15 years of rank experience in the Tanker industry, with comprehensive exposure to bulk carriers, general cargo, containers, and tankers.

Fellow of the Institution of Marine Engineers (India) (FIMarE): Recognized for my contributions and expertise in marine engineering.

Teaching & Mentoring: Visiting faculty at the university level, teaching marine engineering subjects. Experienced in examining and assessing technical subjects, and mentoring students and professionals.
