We are seeking an Executive / Senior Executive – Line Operations to support safe vessel planning, operational efficiency and cost reduction. Key Responsibilities

  • Support vessel selection based on loadability and operational suitability within specific trade areas.
  • Execute voyage instructions for newly chartered vessels and ensure operational procedures are followed throughout the charter.
  • Optimise vessel stowage to minimise cargo shut-outs and restows while maintaining vessel safety and efficient cargo operations.
  • Ensure stowage plans comply with dangerous goods segregation, vessel stability, lashing parameters, line of sight, trim and applicable safety requirements.
  • Monitor vessel reports for accuracy and timely submission, and assist Line Managers in reviewing operational alerts.
  • Provide speed adjustment instructions to vessel Captains as required.
  • Coordinate bunkering operations with local agents and operations teams.
  • Advise on planned draft and loadability for draft-restricted ports.
  • Monitor downline berth windows and coordinate with port agents, highlighting potential delays, congestion or terminal productivity issues.
  • Screen out-of-gauge (OOG), COD and special stowage requests in line with company policy and authorised exceptions.
  • Monitor tug usage and raise queries where excessive usage is identified.
  • Monitor SDRs, ensure timely initial action and notify relevant teams when potential claims arise.
  • Assist with PRF management to control and streamline operational costs.
  • Update vessel forecast and utilisation details.
  • Support business transformation initiatives, including EDI integration and development of operational procedures.
  • Manage day-to-day operational matters for assigned vessels and undertake other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Maritime Studies, university degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant shipping operations experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good communication, time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness and availability to work outside regular hours when required.
