Job Description


The Finance & Accounts Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting and financial activities, including bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, GST, TDS, reconciliations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination. The role requires a hands-on finance professional who can independently maintain accurate financial records and provide timely financial information to management.

The role will support the complete finance and accounting function, including Indian taxation and compliance, monthly closing, MIS reporting, banking, vendor and customer management, intercompany accounting, financial controls, and coordination with auditors and tax consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
  • Maintain General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and fixed asset records.
  • Perform monthly account closing and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices and ensure correct GST treatment.
  • Monitor customer receivables, ageing, outstanding payments, and billing discrepancies.
  • Verify vendor invoices, GST and TDS applicability, and payment documentation.
  • Maintain vendor ledgers and prepare payment schedules.
  • Handle routine GST accounting, input tax credit reconciliation, and GST return support.
  • Manage TDS calculations, accounting, deposits, returns, and certificates.
  • Maintain bank books and perform regular bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly MIS including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, receivables, payables, revenue, expenses, and variance reports.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial planning, cash-flow forecasting, and expense monitoring.
  • Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliation for India and Singapore transactions.
  • Coordinate with the Singapore finance team on reimbursements, management charges, and other intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with foreign currency and cross-border transaction documentation.
  • Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, CA firms, and tax consultants.
  • Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, ledgers, invoices, bank statements, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain statutory and financial compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of applicable requirements.
  • Identify financial discrepancies, unusual transactions, compliance concerns, and potential risks and escalate them to management.

Requirements

  • B.Com, M.Com, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • CA, CA Inter, CMA, or ACCA qualification will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
  • 4–8 years of relevant Finance & Accounts experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Indian accounting and taxation.
  • Hands-on experience with GST and TDS.
  • Experience in bank, customer, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Experience in monthly closing and financial reporting.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, MIS, and financial controls.
  • Good communication, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Timely identification and escalation of financial discrepancies.

This position is suited to a hands-on Finance & Accounts professional who can independently manage accounting operations, taxation, compliance, reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls. Strong practical experience and ownership are prioritised alongside formal qualifications.
