Job Description


We are hiring a Junior ETO / Electrical Technician for a leading maritime organization. This is a development and training opportunity for candidates with a strong electrical/electronics foundation who are looking to build a career in marine electrical technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Electrical Superintendent in providing electrical and electronic technical support to the trading and offshore fleet.
  • Learn and support troubleshooting of marine electrical and electronic systems.
  • Develop knowledge of vessel-specific equipment, maintenance practices, troubleshooting methods, and company procedures.
  • Assist with electrical inspections, maintenance, repairs, and technical activities onboard vessels.
  • Travel to vessels, shipyards, workshops, and Alang as required.
  • Attend vessels and support technical requirements at short notice.
  • Follow company safety procedures, technical processes, and instructions.
  • Work closely with senior technical personnel and develop competency through hands-on training and mentoring.
  • Gradually take responsibility for technical tasks as competency develops.
  • Work towards progressing into an independent ETO / Electrical Technical Support role.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronic systems.
  • Understanding of electrical circuits, motors, generators, control circuits, relays, contactors, sensors, and basic electronics.
  • Good practical troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Prior marine or offshore experience is not mandatory.
  • Freshers and candidates with limited experience may be considered.
  • Strong practical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.
  • Willingness to travel and work onboard vessels, shipyards, workshops, and remote locations.
  • Positive learning attitude with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on electrical/electronics professional who is keen to learn marine electrical systems from the ground up and develop into an independent ETO or Electrical Technical Support professional.
