Job Description


We are hiring a System Analyst – Shipping Technology Support for a leading global shipping organization in Bangalore, India. This is an excellent opportunity for IT and application support professionals looking to grow their careers in maritime technology, including those exploring business system analyst jobs, shipping application support roles, and IT support careers in the shipping industry.

The role involves supporting Phoenix application users, managing support tickets, troubleshooting application issues, and coordinating with vendors and business stakeholders to ensure smooth system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for users experiencing issues with the Phoenix application
• Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system
• Provide support for login/access issues, data entry errors, UI issues, and standard configurations
• Troubleshoot application-related issues and coordinate with vendors for defect resolution
• Guide users on effective navigation and usage of the application
• Support user access management including onboarding and offboarding activities
• Document issue resolution steps, troubleshooting methods, and root cause analysis
• Escalate recurring, complex, or performance-related issues to Level 3 support teams with proper documentation
• Monitor ticket trends, issue volumes, and root causes for operational improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in application support or helpdesk support roles
• Prior experience supporting shipping applications is preferred
• Experience with Solverminds Shipping Solutions is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365
• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems such as ManageEngine
• Understanding of ticket lifecycle management, SLAs, and escalation processes
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills for reporting and operational insights
• Basic understanding of ITIL framework including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Basic understanding of shipping business processes is preferred
