Job Description


We are hiring a Voyage Manager to handle all commercial operations for tanker operations desk. This is a critical role for maritime professionals with 2–3 years of commercial experience and a strong seagoing background on tankers seeking commercial shipping jobs, tanker operations careers, pre-fixture support roles, and post-fixture operations positions.

The role bridges the gap between chartering negotiations and voyage execution, ensuring optimized cargo intake, fuel efficiency, and smooth commercial performance for our oil and product tanker fleet.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Fixture Support: Assist the Chartering Department by collating vessel specifications, cargo capabilities, performance history, port requirements, and voyage cost estimates.
  • Voyage Execution: Manage end-to-end voyage planning and orders for Masters, ensuring maximized cargo intake, bunker efficiency, and 24/7 coordination with brokers, charterers, and agents.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track vessel performance at sea, liaise with weather routing services, and ensure vessels adhere to optimal routes and schedule reliability.
  • Financial & Claim Management: Prepare voyage P&L accounts, manage freight/claim billing, contest/defend charterer claims, and accelerate receivables collection to improve cash flow.
  • Operations Oversight: Negotiate and appoint port agents, plan bunker stems, and review/approve Port Disbursement Accounts (PDA).
  • Data Governance: Maintain accurate voyage records and input operational data into IMOS systems for reporting and analysis.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years in commercial operations.
  • Sea-going experience in a management position Master Mariner / Chief Officer on oil or product tankers is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of pre-fixture negotiations, Charter Party (CP) clauses, and voyage P&L analysis.
  • Proficient in IMOS (or similar maritime operating systems) and MS Office tools.
  • Proactive mindset, excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

This role provides high-level exposure to the commercial lifecycle of tanker shipping, from chartering negotiations to voyage closure. You will be an integral part of our tanker desk, ensuring that every voyage is commercially optimized, safe, and profitable.
