The idea of the webinar is to provide a macro economic view of the world order and how the decisions taken by people thousands of miles away effect a common man and how we could prepare for it.
Mr. Punit Oza is the current President & Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, UK.
His career includes:
- 30 years in commercial shipping in dry bulk with senior management roles in:
- Precious shipping
- Noble Group
- Torvald Klaveness
- He now runs Maritime NXT, Singapore, a platform dedicated to driving the “Next” in Maritime through training, teaching, mentoring, consulting & collaborating in commercial shipping & digital transformation space
- He is a
- Senior Adjunct Fellow at Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) Academy, an
- Affiliated Research Fellow at Singapore Management University (SMU) and a guest lecturer and
- Visiting professor at World Maritime University, Bayes Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Nanyang Business School, Copenhagen Business School, University of Piraeus, Indian Institute of Management, Shillong lecturing on “Geopolitical Risks & their impact on Supply Chain and Trade Flows”
- He is deeply involved with the maritime tech-startup space and is an angel investor and advisor in Motion Ventures
- He holds a Masters in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Bayes (previously CASS) Business School, UK and a LLB and Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Law from University of London.
- He is also an expert witness and a member of the Baltic Expert Witness Association (BEWA), UK
The webinar would consist of the following:
- A 35-45 minute presentation by Mr. Punit Oza where he would discuss the above-mentioned topics based on his personal experience as a Consultant with work transgressing in to legal, expert witness, insurance, marine warranty and general maritime consultancy sectors.
- A 15-20 minutes of Q&A session wherein Mr. Puneet Oza would answer your questions.
