Job Description

We are hiring a CHA Head – Freight Forwarding & Customs Operations for a leading freight forwarding company. This is an excellent leadership opportunity for professionals seeking CHA Head jobs, customs clearance management careers, freight forwarding leadership roles, and shipping & logistics compliance positions.

The role involves managing customs clearance operations, overseeing CHA activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, handling conversion and reversion procedures, and leading operational teams within a dynamic freight forwarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end CHA and customs clearance operations
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, shipping procedures, and trade documentation requirements
Oversee import and export customs clearance processes across air and sea shipments
Handle conversion and reversion procedures in line with customs and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with customs authorities, port officials, freight forwarders, transporters, and internal stakeholders
Supervise documentation, customs filing, operational workflows, and compliance reporting activities
Monitor operational efficiency, shipment clearance timelines, and process improvements
Lead and mentor customs clearance and operations teams to ensure high-performance standards
Maintain strong relationships with clients, customs officials, and logistics partners
Ensure smooth coordination for port, airport, and freight forwarding operations

Requirements:

Total work experience of 10–15 years
Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry mandatory
Valid F Card mandatory
Experience in full-time operational roles only
Strong understanding of conversion and reversion procedures
Good knowledge of customs clearance operations, shipping documentation, and logistics compliance
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to converse effectively in English
Strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities
