Job Description

We are hiring a DPA (Designated Person Ashore) for a leading shipping company. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced maritime professionals looking to advance their shore-based leadership careers, including those exploring DPA jobs, offshore vessel management careers, and maritime safety & compliance leadership roles.

The role involves overseeing safety management systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting fleet operations, and acting as the key link between shore management and vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) for offshore vessel operations
• Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Monitor compliance with ISM Code, flag state, class, and international maritime regulations
• Support vessel safety, operational performance, and risk management initiatives
• Coordinate incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety reporting processes
• Act as the communication link between shipboard operations and shore management
• Support audits, inspections, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities
• Advise management on maritime safety, operational risks, and regulatory matters
• Ensure continuous improvement of safety and quality management processes across the fleet

Requirements:

• Master Mariner with Offshore vessel background is preferred
• Indian COC FG Holder is mandatory
• Minimum 2–3 years of shore experience in a relevant maritime role is mandatory
• Strong understanding of ISM Code, maritime compliance, and offshore vessel operations
• Experience in safety management, audits, incident investigations, and operational compliance is preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
