Job Description


We are hiring a Business Development Representative (BDR) for a leading freight forwarding and logistics company based in Mumbai. This is an excellent opportunity for logistics and freight forwarding professionals looking to build their careers in lead generation, sales development, and business growth, including those exploring BDR jobs, logistics sales careers, and freight forwarding business development roles.

The role involves generating and qualifying leads, identifying new business opportunities, supporting sales initiatives, and contributing to the growth of freight forwarding services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads through online research, cold calling, email campaigns, and other outbound sales activities
  • Identify potential customers and business opportunities within target markets
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline for business development initiatives
  • Conduct initial outreach and engage prospective customers to understand their logistics needs
  • Schedule meetings and sales discussions for senior sales team members with qualified prospects
  • Support customer acquisition initiatives and sales growth strategies
  • Monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and market developments
  • Assist internal teams with research, customer information gathering, and sales support activities
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, customer interactions, and sales activities within CRM systems

Requirements:

  • Graduate in any discipline is mandatory
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or a related profile is required
  • Comfortable using online research tools and prospecting platforms
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good telephone etiquette and customer engagement abilities
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-oriented approach
