Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Fleet Personnel Manager, also known in the market as a Crew Management Partner, to manage crew operations and ensure effective service delivery across assigned fleets. The role requires strong expertise in seafarer planning, crew operations, customer service, budget management, and crew retention.

Role Overview

The position will act as a key link between Fleet Managers, Crew Management teams, vessels, and customers. The role will oversee crew-related KPIs, budgets, service performance, retention, crew changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Fleet and Crew Management teams to ensure agreed crew service delivery and resolve escalated issues.
  • Act as the key escalation point for crew matters between Fleet Managers and Crew Management.
  • Monitor crew-related KPIs, budgets, service performance, and customer requirements.
  • Conduct regular performance and budget reviews and recommend improvement actions.
  • Manage crewing budgets and support reporting and commercial discussions with customers.
  • Identify crew retention risks and coordinate appropriate actions to address them.
  • Ensure effective use of ShipSure as the system of record for crewing activities.
  • Guide Vessel Coordinators on crew-change planning and support industrial relations and crewing-related HSSEQ matters.

Requirements

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the maritime or shipping industry.
  • Strong experience in seafarer planning and crew operations.
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Crew Management and Crew Operations.
  • Demonstrable customer service mindset and experience.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and influencing abilities.
  • Ability to drive and implement operational improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team-player and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with ShipSure or similar crew-management systems will be advantageous.
