Job Description


We are hiring a Marine Service Engineer (EIA) for a leading maritime technology company based in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced marine electrical and automation professionals to work on vessel retrofit and decarbonization projects, supporting innovative green technologies that enhance energy efficiency and sustainability across global fleets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct vessel surveys, inspections, installation support, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical, automation, and instrumentation (EIA) systems onboard ships
  • Execute marine electrical retrofit projects, including electrical load analysis, protection coordination, power system upgrades, and integration activities
  • Troubleshoot shipboard control, monitoring, alarm, and PLC-based automation systems
  • Support decarbonization initiatives such as energy efficiency upgrades, Power Management System (PMS) optimization, energy monitoring, and emission reduction projects
  • Assist with electrification and hybrid-ready projects, including UPS, battery interface integration, and shore power preparedness
  • Coordinate with mechanical, piping, shipyard teams, classification societies, and vessel crews to ensure successful project execution

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Marine or Offshore Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation (EIA/E&I) roles involving service, commissioning, or retrofit projects
  • Hands-on experience with shipboard electrical, automation, control, and monitoring systems
  • Strong knowledge of marine retrofit projects, power system upgrades, PLC systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Experience using engineering software such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, Aveva, SmartPlant, or similar electrical design tools
  • Strong project management, technical documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
