We are hiring Drydock Manager for leading ship management company overseeing global fleet drydocking and major repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for Marine Engineers, Naval Architects, and shipyard project managers seeking drydock management jobs, vessel repair superintendent careers, ship management technical roles, and offshore retrofit project management positions.

The role serves as the primary technical interface between company, shipyards, and classification societies, managing end-to-end drydock planning, execution, and financial oversight for vessels worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead pre-docking planning including technical specifications, shipyard selection, and spare parts coordination
  • Manage shipyard relationships, vendor quotations, cost comparisons, and contract negotiations
  • Provide on-site supervision ensuring quality workmanship, safety compliance (QSHE), and timeline adherence
  • Control repair budgets, real-time expense monitoring, invoice negotiations, and forecasting
  • Ensure classification society, flag state, and IMO regulatory compliance across all projects
  • Drive process improvements, standardize drydock procedures, and maintain performance databases
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, inspection reports, and audit-ready records

Requirements:

  • Degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture (or related field)
  • 5-8 years experience in ship management, superintendency, or shipyard project management
  • Proven track record managing large-scale drydocking and retrofit projects
  • Sailing experience as Senior Engineer (2nd Engineer or Chief Engineer) preferred
  • Proficiency in drydock management software, ERP systems, and project management tools
  • Strong financial acumen, data-driven decision making, and process optimization skills

About the Role:

Join global ship managers handling diverse vessel fleets with modern drydock facilities worldwide. Strategic role offering exposure to international shipyards, classification societies, and fleet-wide technical leadership. Perfect transition for experienced marine engineers ready for shore-based project management excellence.
