Job Description


We are hiring Assistant Finance Manager for ship management operations. This is an excellent opportunity for finance professionals and Chartered Accountants (CA) with 3–5 years experience seeking assistant finance manager jobs, shipping finance careers, tax and financial reporting roles, and maritime accounting positions.

The role supports the General Manager, Finance in handling corporate accounting, tax compliance, financial reporting, and vendor/billing processes within a professional ship management environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate computation and timely payment of Direct Tax (Corporate Tax/Transfer Pricing/Withholding Tax) and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
  • File Corporate Income Tax/Withholding Tax returns and manage all local tax-related filings.
  • Support Transfer Pricing documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with Group and local accounting standards, providing professional advice on tax matters.
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting processes, including quarterly Balance Sheet reviews, reconciliations, and financial risk management.
  • Prepare financial statements, year-end/quarter-end reporting packs, and conduct monthly financial analysis with business leaders.
  • Support Fixed Asset Register maintenance and monthly transaction migration between local and Group books.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive variance analysis to identify performance drivers.
  • Monitor company cash flow and assist in cash flow planning activities.
  • Oversee vessel disbursement accounts, vendor invoice processes (Eye-share), and verify bank payment vouchers.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
  • 3–5 years relevant experience in Tax and Financial Reporting.
  • Previous experience in multinational corporations (MNCs) is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle financial reporting cycles.
