Job Description


We are hiring a Senior Crew Manager – India for Olive Crew Management, based in New Delhi, India. This is a senior opportunity for experienced maritime crewing professionals seeking Senior Crew Manager jobs in Delhi, Crew Management jobs in India, Seafarer Recruitment careers, and Maritime HR and Manning roles.

The role will be responsible for establishing the company's crew management presence in India, completing the required regulatory and entity setup formalities, and developing a strong pool of Indian seafarers for Olive Crew Management. The position will also oversee local seafarer sourcing, screening, documentation, and coordination with the international crew management team.

Key Responsibilities:

India Entity Setup & Regulatory Compliance

  • Set up the Olive Crew Management entity in New Delhi
  • Coordinate and complete the required formalities for establishing the Indian entity
  • Obtain the required RSPL (Recruitment and Placement Service Licence) for Olive Crew Management
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the licensing and registration process
  • Ensure all regulatory, documentation, and compliance requirements are completed for commencement of crew management operations in India

Seafarer Recruitment & Crew Development:

  • Identify and shortlist suitable Indian seafarers and ratings based on vessel and crew requirements
  • Build and maintain a strong database of qualified Indian seafarers
  • Establish relationships with maritime academies, training institutes, and seafarer networks
  • Conduct preliminary interviews and candidate screening
  • Verify certificates, qualifications, licenses, medicals, and other seafarer documentation
  • Finalise suitable Indian seafarer candidates for Olive Crew Management, subject to applicable approval processes
  • Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records

Crew Coordination:

  • Coordinate with shortlisted seafarers throughout the recruitment and documentation process
  • Liaise with the international crew management team regarding candidate requirements and approvals
  • Share suitable candidate profiles and recruitment updates with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure timely follow-up on documentation, certifications, and candidate requirements
  • Support the development of an efficient and reliable Indian crew pool

Requirements:

  • Mariner with a minimum of 3 years of shore-based experience in crew management, seafarer recruitment, crewing, or a related maritime function OR
  • Non-mariner candidate with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in crew management, seafarer recruitment, maritime manning, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of the Indian seafarer market and recruitment processes
  • Experience in establishing or managing a crew management / manning operation will be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of RSPL licensing and Indian maritime regulatory requirements preferred\
  • Strong network with Indian seafarers, maritime academies, training institutes, and industry stakeholders
  • Experience in seafarer screening, certificate verification, and documentation
  • Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to independently establish and developa new crew management operation
  • Based in or willing to work in New Delhi, India
