Job Description


We are hiring a Manager – Sales & Operations for a leading maritime academy and training organization based in Mumbai. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to build leadership careers in maritime education, corporate training, logistics learning solutions, and business development within the shipping and supply chain industry.

The role involves leading sales, business development, academic partnerships, and operational management for professional training programs across logistics, shipping, maritime, and supply chain domains.

Key Responsibilities:


• Identify and acquire corporate clients across logistics, ports, shipping, freight forwarding, and supply chain sectors
• Build partnerships with academic institutions for certifications and training programs
• Drive enrolments for executive education, professional courses, and corporate learning solutions
• Lead proposal preparation, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and MoUs
• Monitor sales pipelines, lead conversion performance, and business growth initiatives
• Conduct client needs assessments and design customized training solutions
• Maintain CRM systems and track engagement, conversion, and client retention performance
• Ensure smooth delivery of classroom, blended, and online learning programs
• Monitor training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and learning outcomes
• Manage budgets with focus on cost optimization and profitability
• Track KPIs related to sales, enrolments, conversion rates, and client retention
• Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and operational performance summaries
• Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies
• Support implementation of LMS, CRM systems, e-library solutions, and other technology initiatives
• Drive continuous improvement projects and operational excellence initiatives

Requirements:

• Graduate in Logistics, Shipping, Supply Chain, Maritime Studies, or Business Management is mandatory
• MBA preferred
• Professional certifications such as ICS, CILT, or equivalent are desirable
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in logistics education, maritime training, EdTech, or corporate L&D sales
• Proven experience in business development, training operations, and client relationship management
• Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, maritime, and commercial shipping sectors
• Experience working with finance, commercial, AP/AR, and operational teams
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
• Data-driven mindset with strong commercial and operational acumen
